If you're reading this because you're uncertain about whether you want to download this one or the other recording from the same night then you'll probably want to get this one first because the sound is considerably clearer on this recording.
I rarely go out to see shows as I don't drive and I'm shy, and even though I'm not that much of a fan of her style of music (although many of her songs are entertaining, I'm more interested in the ones that aren't as quirky) I felt that I had to go to this show and tape it because she's a good friend of Tristan Prettyman (one of the musicians who's on my short list of favorites; she's also on the LMA), she's here on the Live Music Archive, and because this promised to be a great, rare, full-length show.
My point is that while I love music and I love to be able to share it with others, I normally only go out to see and tape concerts from the few (3) musicians whose music I love above all else, but here I made an exception because I felt it would be a shame for her performance at Paul's house to not be recorded. And I hope you enjoy listening to it. :)
And for me Anya's amusing banter and lively personality alone (not to mention how friendly she is and how intimate the show was - especially as she was performing solo) made it well worth all the worries I had during the 3 weeks before the show and the stress of being around people I don't know (although, I was really impressed with how positive and friendly the atmosphere was with so many people there). (FYI, the majority of her talking can be found in the intros as well as at the end of the tracks that are 4:50
